The ever expanding wardrobe!

Having outgrown most of last year's medieval clothes Arthur's parents have been waiting until the last possible minute to create this year's collection, as he seems to grow daily!

After a few painstaking hours he now is the proud owner of a new linen shirt, a yellow linen dress, a blue woolen over dress or surcoat, a thin leather belt and a linen coife. Doesn't he look adorable!?

All patterns and material are authentic with lots of guidance taken from the 'Medieval Tailor's Assistant' by Sarah Thursfield. Hopefully there will be enough layers to keep him warm if the weather isn't great and we are preparing  ourselves now for the constant questioning about whether Arthus is a girl or a boy - infants in medieval England all wore the same, long tunic style dresses until around the age of 6.
