How to make medieval clothing ties.

Jean (and Woody the dog) talk us through making just one type of tie used in medieval times to fastnen clothes or bags. The twine is fed through a disc of leather that has 8 slits cut from the outside edge inwards. One of the slits doesn't have a piece of twine through it. The tie is created by feeding each piece of twine in turn, over two other slits in a 'one over two' fashion.
